Dr. David M. Strange, Chief Dental Officer
Dr.David M Strange is a board certified pediatric dentist. He received hisDoctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado HealthSciences Center along with his certificate of Pediatric Dentistry fromthe Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX and his MS from the BaylorCollege of Dentistry. Dr Strange was formerly an Associate ClinicalProfessor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center andpreviously served on the Constitution and By-Laws Committee of theAmerican Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is currently serving on theCouncil for Dental Benefits of the American Academy of PediatricDentistry and the Virginia Dental Advisory Committee for the Smiles forChildren Dental Medicaid program. Dr Strange is also a member in goodstanding with the American Dental Association, the American Academy ofPediatric Dentistry, the Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, theGeorgia Dental Association and the Southwestern Society of PediatricDentistry. His three children and wife live in Denver, Colorado.
Paul O. Walker, Vice President, Clinical Quality/Development
Dr.Paul O. Walker is a board certified pediatric dentist. He received hisDDS from Northwestern University and his MS along with his specialtytraining from Indiana University. He served as a dental officer in theU.S. Navy (1966-1968) and served as the Lead Pediatric Dentist forHealthPartners. He was the Director of the Advanced Education Programin Pediatric Dentistry and the Director of The Hospital Dental Clinicat the University of Minnesota (1972-1994) and went on to serve as theAssociate Dean for Clinical Services and Professor of PediatricDentistry at the Baylor College of Dentistry/Texas A & M University(1994-1998).
Dr. Walker is a fellow of the American College ofDentists and the International College of Dentists as well as theAmerican Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He has served on the Board oftrustees for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (1987-1990)and as a President and Director/Examiner for the American Board ofPediatric Dentistry (1993-2000). Currently, he is a member of thePediatric Dentistry Review Committee for the Commission on DentalAccreditation and is a scientific article reviewer for PracticalReviews in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Walker retired from full timepractice and teaching in 2000, but continues to work for bothHealthPartners and Indiana University in a part-time capacity and is anindependent pediatric dentistry consultant.
Dr. Tu Tran, Chief Dentist, Operations
Dr.Tran is a founding dentist and owner of Kool Smiles P.C. Dr. Tran wasformerly Lead Dentist at "Smile High, General Dentistry for Children"in Denver, Colorado. Prior to Smile High, Dr. Tran worked at PerfectTeeth of Denver, Colorado. Dr. Tran received his Bachelors degree inBiology and Chemistry from the University of Denver and received hisDoctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado. Dr. Tranis a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado DentalAssociation and the Georgia Dental Association.
Dr. David Vieth, a native of Ohio, received his undergraduate degree in biology/chemistry from Bowling Green State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from
Dr. Vieth sold his thriving practice in 2006 to pursue other interests.Whileidentifying his next career move, he became increasingly interested inthe opportunity to answer the American Dental Association’s rallyingcry to increase access to dental care for the underserved.With this goal in mind, Dr. Vieth accepted a position as a Regional Dentist with Kool Smiles. He served in this position for 2 years until he was recently named Director of Dental Operations for the company in 2008.
Dr.Vieth has over 30 years of experience in all areas of dentistry andspent an extensive amount of that time in cosmetic areas restoringimplants and completing extensive crown and bridge cases. He is also certified in Invisalign, Orthoclear, and CEREC.
Dr.Vieth is a standing member of the American Dental Association, theEighth District Dental Association, the Erie County Dental Society, andthe
Dr.Vieth has served as member and officer of various civic organizationsmost notably as an officer of the Williamsville Rotary Foundation, afoundation established by the Williamsville Rotary Club/Buffalo, ofwhich he was a member for 25 years.
